You will be the first point of contact for incoming calls to the comany so communication skills are paramount. You will deal with queries from wherever they come in and will take ownership, logging each one and resolve it. Taking booking for the people out on the road, entering sales orders and raising invoices are some of the other jobs that make the role varied.
Maarketing is also an important part of this role as you will be involved in supporting the open days by sending out literature, making bookings etc. There will be the usual admin such as emails and post to deal with, in amd out, filing, mail merges and so on.

2. TRADING ADMIN & PA - CHESHUNT - £20-22k

The role is a mixture of admin and PA and would suit someone with strong excel skills. Communication is key in this role as the people you will be supporting will often be out of the office phoning in with their requests and needs for you to take care of.
There will be some travel arrangements to make - flights, hotels etc, and you will also be taking care of contracts so attention to detail is imperative. They would like someone who has an inquisitive mind and can think for themselves as you won't be able to get to grips with this role in a couple of weeks. There will be a learning curve as this is a sort of reactive job where no two days are the same!

Typing quotations for forwarding to to the customer
Checking with customers that they have all the information that they need and it has arrived with them
Maintaining company sales records and compiling sales reports
Telemarketing with prospective new customers
Cover each other in the team
On a daily basis the role will include:
Answering incoming calls
Checking for incoming emails and responding
Maintaining computer records
Entering sales orders onto the computer
Check pricing of orders going out and that delivery information is correct
Upkeep of enquiry log
Maintain sales order and customer manual filing systems
On a monthly basis you will be producing month end reports for the Directors.
The basic hours are 8am to 4.45pm with 30 minute lunch on Monday to Thursday and then 8am to 1pm on Friday.
The successful applicant will have good general PC skills including word and excel. They will be a strong communicator verbally and also in writing with good basic mathematical skills. Basic French language skills would be desirable as well. You will receive training in sales and presentation skills but must have already got some experience with filing and record keeping.
The ideal candidate will be self disciplined and motivated and able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a cheerful and polite disposition.
