Working very much as part of a team this role will see the successful applicant ensuring that the whole distribution side runs smoothly. You will do this by keeping and updating records of all orders across the UK vis the EDI system and analysing for trends, discrepancies and potential problems. This is a very detailed and analytical role and also one where you need to build strong trusting relationships with many departments and including external buyers and merchandisers. You will be liaising with Key account managers, the warehouse, customers, customer service team and head office marketing and promotions.
Typically you will need to be a strong user of excel including such features as V-Lookups and so on. You must be a detail and procedural driven person who really cares about accuracy and customer service, no matter whether the customer is external or an internal team to the company. Clearly you must also be articulate and a strong communicator and someone who is firm but friendly. Some of the job duties are shown below:
* Check and process all orders received via EDI system, ensuring promotional codes are entered if required
*Update the monitor spreadsheets daily with details of orders received
* Keep the Key Account and Line Managers updated with regard to any shortages or over ordering as and when the orders are received
* Liaise with customer buyers resolving any issues
* Communicate customer distribution and delivery date needs to the distribution team.
* Check and co-ordinate orders received from Internal Departments
* Keep up to date on status of outstanding orders where stock is not available and amend the orders accordingly
* Where system amendments are needed, check the status of orders and make the appropriate amendments
* Communicate product line changes to distribution team and ensure that locations on the main picking area are correctly maintained
* Monitor the current outstanding order book to ensure that orders are despatched within the required time and to ensure that any queries are resolved before order due date
* Process orders for selected Key Distribution accounts
* Escalate and communicate any unusual issues to the Line Manager
The ideal candidate for this role will have had some retail sales experience within a high quality retail arena and may possibly have also worked in something like travel or banking where there is high end customer service and problem resolution skills. Knowledge of stock and distribution would also be a distinct advantage.

2. MANUAL ORDER DISTRIBUTION ADMIN - £18k - £20k - HARLOW
Similar role to the one above except less contact with external customers and you will be unlikely to travel out of the office to meet customers.
3. Some of our other clients are looking for candidates with good experience within administration from time to time. You should have a good attention to detail and be proficient with microsoft office such as Word and Excel. A good organisational ability is a must.
